5. By using groups of 8 glyphs we will advance 1 planet at a time, and beyond the group of Saturn (Ga2-1) and the group of Sun (Ga2-9) will come the groups of Moon (Ga2-17) and Mars (Ga2-25):
The group of Mars ends by a strongly drawn Saturn in position 29 (60). Number 29 suggests the dark night of Moon, the night when a new Waxing Moon will be initiated. If we insist on Saturn as the dark beginning, then we will conclude that he should be also at vaha mea, 8 weeks earlier:
Venus comes before Saturn, but she represents the end of the preceding 'world':
Te inside the name Hatinga Te Kohe should refer to how Saturn (Earth) has fire (Sun) inside. By 'breaking the bamboo' the kuhane of Hau Maka generated a new fire. You cannot create an omelette without breaking an egg and likewise you cannot generate fire without destroying old wood (Jupiter). The Chinese had Mercury as their black planet, and it makes sense because the end of the season of rising sky lies half a cycle around the world. To count the circumference of a circle you must take π twice. A cycle is divided in rising and descending. A sinus curve is generated by a wheel moving in timespace.
Also the season of Mercury is divided in rising and descending. The 'broken neck' of kara etahi probably means life (expansion, growth) is ending here. Number 329 can be imagined as 3 times 29 - after 3 'days' in light (Sun, Moon, Mars) the season of light has reached 'a dark night'. 4 * 8 = 32 and 32 connected with 9 could mean the season of 'earth' - the black squares on a chessboard - is finished (9). The white squares correspond to the night and Moon, the black to the lower half-shell. East is uri. The grasping hand of the horizon in the west is a sign which explains the situation, and it has been used in Gb4-8 (though rotated in order to indicate a maximum of up): The opening (probably visualizing how sky and earth are torn apart in order to let in light) is at left (in the past), i.e. reversed. It is the same kind of sign as when the back side of the hand is in front:
After half a cycle Spring Sun must disappear:
He is tumbling down in Gb4-9 (where 4 * 9 = 36 and the position is Jupiter, the planet of wood). His arm in front is open, he is dead. Yet, in Gb4-12 Sun is alive again, now descending like a fish (with mouth closed). The upper half of Ga2-29 resembles that in Ga1-4 and both glyphs could possibly represent Saturn:
But if we count from Gb8-30 we can see that Spring Sun has already arrived:
Vaha mea in Ga1-4 is not located exactly 8 weeks (or 7 groups) earlier than niu in Ga2-29:
The 'lower half-shell of the clam' is open in front (Ga1-3) and it has become earth. |
