24 is the ancient measure of the path of the sun, remaining with us only as a not understood diurnal cycle of 24 hours. Only facts count today and they tend to be completely arbitrary. Analysis disintegrates and then the pieces can blow away. There will be nothing left to understand and we do not need to think anymore. Functions which are left unused will disintegrate too, muscles will disappear and the same goes for thinking. That is the economy of life.

In the rongorongo texts number 240 is associated with what appears to be the end of high summer. Counting 8 as the full measure, 240 will be perceived as 8 * 30. It takes the sun 8 months to reach his limit. If we multiply 24 degrees by 60 to get the minutes and then divide by 8 the result is 180, half a year if perceived as days.

Twice 36 ('bust' and 'hip') should be measures for the moon, sun's partner in the sky. The Mamari moon calendar has twice 36 glyphs, one set for growing moon and one for descending moon.

Adding 'bust' and 'waist' will result in 60º which is a reasonable measure for the band where people can live comfortably. Father north (beyond Shetland Islands) there will be a polar cap equal to twice 30º before 'the inhabitable earth' is once again reached (on the other side of the earth).

Certainly the ancient Egyptians knew there was inhabitable earth also south of the equator, and a band of 36º for the 'hips' ought to be an ideal measure. Sun has two wives, one far in the north and one south of the equator, according to the Polynesians who live mainly south of the equator.

Adding the 'hips' (south of the equator) to 60º (north of the equator) will give the 'length of Mother Earth' as 96º. Though below her 'hips' it was possible to move still farther south. This was the region of 'water', and it could be said that Mother Earth was 'standing in the water' (like the 3 youths of Nga Kope Ririva).
