The glyphs of calendar II seem to be divided in at least two groups. Possibly, though, there are three groups:
Mercury in Yc2-1 identifies where the first 180 days are ending. He also appears in Yc3-1 (i.e. Yd1-1), where the day number is 300, maybe alluding to how Sun has reached the end of high summer (when we count 10 * 30 beginning at winter solstice). A crack is seen in his 'windpipe' at right. Koti in Yc3-4 is at day 360. Saturn is the obvious choice of planet. Saturn also rules ua at Yc2-4. 3 * 4 = 12 and 2 * 4 = 8. Winter solstice possibly occurs at Yc3-7 (where the front 'bar of light' is sloping down). |
