Back to side b and the 3 kava glyphs:
The ordinal numbers of the glyphs at first do not suggest anything special. They are disappointing both if we count from Gb1-7 or from Gb5-1. Gb6-3 is most promising - it has 'feathers' on both sides (like mauga in Aa8-31) and is very strangely designed. 6 * 3 = 18, 32 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 (5 'doublings'), and 150 = 30 * 5. The surrounding glyphs possibly support a kava sign in Gb6-3, but the pictures are hard to understand:
The numbers are somewhat more easy to grasp (but on the other hand of more doubtful value). 6 * 2 = 12 and 6 * 6 = 36 for the two tagata glyphs might tell about the end of the sun year. 7 + 6 = 13 'feathers' in Gb6-3 may refer to the 13 * 28 = 364 nights in a moon year. |
