A dark season appears to begin at Ka3-5:
The 27th 'station' is when the old fire must be swept out (peau) and the 27th glyph is an upside down fish. Combining the upside down fish signs in the Mamari moon calendar (where they mean descending moon) with the 'recycling station' (henua ora) we will understand the meaning of the fish at 27:
Pure at the elbow of the moon bird in Ka3-7 (notice 7 and 29) indicates the old 'fire' has left. Likewise the 'nut' at bottom in the henua ora sign has disappeared in Ka3-5 - it was needed for regenerating the 'fire' (light and life being basically the same, eating and dying). |
