GD33 is combined with GD112 ('phases of the moon') in order to symbolize full moon, (which of course must be the 'summer solstice' or 'noon' of the month).

Viri here alludes to the 'horns' of the moon, i.e. its two sickle phases: Waxing and Waning (visualized as two pendant 'canoes', GD48).
