Once again. When the Sun reached Elnath (the Butting One)
in June 9 (160) this seems to have marked the complementary
place to vaha toga (door of entrance for winter), viz. toga vaha
(door of exit for winter). In other words, at heliacal Elnath in
June 9 (160 = 5 * 32) the winter year was due to leave.
Such a drastic change was in the rongorongo idiom evidently
expressed by a mirror image,

Consequently we can guess this was why Metoro said togavaha:

Toga. 1. Winter season. Two seasons used
to be distinguished in ancient times: hora,
summer, and toga, winter. 2. To lean against
somehing; to hold something fast; support, post
supporting the roof. 3. To throw something with a
sudden movement. 4. To feed oneself, to eat enough;

2. The expressions Tonga, Kona, Toa
(Sam., Haw., Tah.), to indicate the quarter of an
island or of the wind, between the south and west,
and Tokelau, Toerau, Koolau
(Sam., Haw., Tah.), to indicate the opposite
directions from north to east - expressions
universal throughout Polynesia, and but little
modified by subsequent local circumstances - point
strongly to a former habitat in lands where the
regular monsoons prevailed. Etymologically 'Tonga',
'Kona', contracted from 'To-anga' or 'Ko-ana',
signifies 'the setting', seil. of the sun. 'Toke-lau',
of which the other forms are merely dialectical
variations, signifies 'the cold, chilly sea'.

... Midsummer is the flowering season of the oak,
which is the tree of endurance and triumph, and like
the ash is said to 'court the lightning flash'. Its
roots are believed to extend as deep underground as
its branches rise in the air - Virgil mentions this
- which makes it emblematic of a god whose law runs
both in Heaven and in the Underworld ... The month,
which takes its name from Juppiter the oak-god,
begins on June 10th and ends of July 7th. Midway
comes St. John's Day, June 24th, the day on which
the oak-king was sacrificially burned alive. The
Celtic year was divided into two halves with the
second half beginning in July, apparently after a
seven-day wake, or funeral feast, in the oak-king's
honour ... |
June 10 (= 10/6 in the style of the Mad Hatter's Hat) was day 161 which
implied Φ (1,61... → Fibonacci → the
Golden Mean), the mathematical expression for the beautiful
growth enabled by the rays from the sun and the drops of rain - as for instance could be seen in the center of the sun flowers.
Counted from December 13 (Lucia) to June 10 there
were (365 - 347) + 160 = 178 calendar days. Thus we could say
there were 3
days ('sisters') missing ('down in a treacle well') before reaching
day 181
(→ Sirius), when the Full Moon should be at φ in
Sagittarius.
From Sirius (*101) to Vega (*281) there were *180 of my right
ascension days. From June 30 (181) to December 27 (361) there
were 180 calendar days. 361 + 3 = 364 = 4 * 91. Beyond Vega at
the Full Moon the year was Outstretched (Mebsuta) with 3
days.

This helps us to understand the relationship at Rome
of Janus and the White Goddess Cardea who is ... the
Goddess of Hinges who came to Rome from Alba Longa.
She was the hinge on which the year swung - the
ancient Latin, not the Etruscan year - and her
importance as such is recorded in the Latin
adjective cardinalis - as we say in English
'of cardinal importance - which was also applied to
the four main winds; for winds were considered as
under the sole direction of the Great Goddess until
Classical times .. |
